Saving Money on Business Travel

Some time back, it was very easy for majority of businesses to afford spending thousands of dollars on world class conferences, luxury hotel rooms, unlimited business dinners, and first class airline travel for their executives. However, in the present scenario of unstable global economies, every business tries to focus on cutting down costs as far as possible. A lot of money is usually spent on business travel and companies usually find it difficult to reduce this cost.
But, there are numerous ways in which any company can save large amounts of money on business travel. Here are a few tips and guidelines to do so.
• The idea of booking a first class airline ticket for every executive that goes on an official trip can be dropped.

• Popular services like Orbitz and Travelocity can help the corporate executives find dirt cheap airline tickets for a two-way journey. Round trips are usually offered at discounted rates and must be given preference to reduce unnecessary expenditure on business travel. These services usually offer great discounts and incentives to corporate houses if availed for a longer period of time.

• Using a corporate flight account or a corporate credit card to book tickets for business travel can help you earn points, which can later be redeemed to get attractive discounts, free travel opportunities, holiday packages, etc.

• Hiring chauffeur-driven limousines or a shuttle bus at the destination for a group of 4-5 executives can be much more cost-effective than renting a cab or a car for every single individual.

• Similarly, year-long tie-ups of companies with hotels located at most frequented destinations can help save a lot on hotel stays and food during a business trip.

Tun Mahathir Is Against Langkawi Bridge Project

LANGKAWI, Aug 23 (Bernama) - Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is against the proposed Langkawi bridge project as it will erode the island's unique features.

"Langkawi must remain as an island and unsuitable to be turned into a land mass," he told reporters after presenting chocolates and cash to 120 orphans and special children at Masjid Istiqamah in Kuala Teriang here Sunday night.

Two companies based in Perlis had proposed building a 48km bridge linking Langkawi to Kuala Perlis on the mainland.

Juruelit Sdn Bhd executive chairman Kamarudin Husin said on Friday the company had enough funds to build the project which includes a monorail bridge.

On another note, Tun Mahathir said he was disappointed that Muslims had become enemies just because they had different views.

He added as fellow Muslims they should not turn bitter enemies as it would divide and weaken them.

The former premier cautioned that this could result in Muslims losing power in their own land.

Tun Mahathir and wife Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali later joined 500 Muslims for buka puasa, maghrib, isyak dan tarawih prayers.

Dr. Ghani - Collection about Herb Medical ...

Want to know about flowers ?

some articles by Dr Ghani
........Kemuning is from the family of citron or Rutaceae. The Brits called it the Orange Jasamine. When I first came across this I thought now how did they come to call it the orange jasamine when I have never seen its flowers to be orange in colour. Until it occured to me that it is called thus probably because it is placed in the orang family and has flowers with the fragrance of jasamine !! Problem solved!!

Kemuning's fragrance indeed has the taint of jasamine in it and one can catch it early in the morning and late in the evening just as the sun is setting. These are the two times in the day that I spend time in my garden doing the gardening. As I pass around the plant's vicinity I can smell the fragrance of Kemuning alternating with kenanga near by. Both very refreshing and invigorating.

Now how do we use this tree apart from making tongkat and kris handles. It has the following properties:
Mildly bitter Warming
Analgesic Activates circulation
Astringent Tonic
Stomachic Digestive
Refrigerant Aromatic....
