Langkawi To Be Rebranded As Cosmetic Tourism Island

Langkawi will be rebranded as a cosmetic-tourism destination with the development of the Langkawi Cosmetic Island that is similar to the Loire Valley in France in an effort to woo more tourists from the higher income group.

The chairman of the State Committee on Religion, Tourism, Heritage and Public Works Datuk Mohd Rawi Abd Hamid said so far 600 acres of land involving RM200 million in investment had been identified in Kampung Ulu Melaka for the project. .
