LANGKAWI SHRIMPS SDN BHD was incorporated on 7th October 2003,under the Malaysian Companies Act 1965. The company's principal activity is the business of live aquaculture of which prawn farming is the principal activity. To buy and sell the same by wholesale or retail in Malaysia or elsewhere and generally to carry on the trade of sellers of aquaculture in all its business. The first phase of operation began with 10 ponds and LSSB has successfully revived its operation and performed first harvest in 2004.

This success has now geared LSSB to collaborate with MONODON AQUACULTURE on the second phase of its operation to revive all the other ponds and the set-up of a hatchery and packaging entity. LSSB's current expansion has lead to the purchase and development of 20 ponds in Jerlun Kedah, for tiger prawn culture. Langkawi Shrimps Sdn Bhd deal primarily but not exclusively with marine shrimp. LSSB is now making inroads to farm and market other species such as fishes, mud crabs and lobsters.

Dr. Ghani - Collection about Herb Medical ...

Want to know about flowers ?

some articles by Dr Ghani
........Kemuning is from the family of citron or Rutaceae. The Brits called it the Orange Jasamine. When I first came across this I thought now how did they come to call it the orange jasamine when I have never seen its flowers to be orange in colour. Until it occured to me that it is called thus probably because it is placed in the orang family and has flowers with the fragrance of jasamine !! Problem solved!!

Kemuning's fragrance indeed has the taint of jasamine in it and one can catch it early in the morning and late in the evening just as the sun is setting. These are the two times in the day that I spend time in my garden doing the gardening. As I pass around the plant's vicinity I can smell the fragrance of Kemuning alternating with kenanga near by. Both very refreshing and invigorating.

Now how do we use this tree apart from making tongkat and kris handles. It has the following properties:
Mildly bitter Warming
Analgesic Activates circulation
Astringent Tonic
Stomachic Digestive
Refrigerant Aromatic....

Making Vacation Plans

When making your vacation plans, it's important to consider where you'll stay. The right hotel can make a good trip great and the opposite can also be true. There are a variety of types of hotels and lodging and they offer different things to different travelers.
If you're looking for some nightlife, downtown hotels are often located in business districts. They are many times used by people traveling for business and are located near many city attractions, such as restaurants and entertainment venues.

If you're looking for the best in luxury and amenities, you will find them at a resort hotel. Resort hotels are often found near beaches, mountains and other natural attractions. They offer a deluxe experience to vacationers who want to relax in spacious rooms with access to nature.
Another option is a boutique hotel. Boutique hotels also offer an upscale experience but are generally less inexpensive than resorts. They provide a relaxing experience but are usually smaller than resorts. They may have a theme.

Boutique hotels also differ from resorts in that they offer more privacy and personable service.
If price is a big factor, you may want to stay at a motel. Motels are often located near highways and are frequented by travelers making a brief stop. They are less expensive than resorts or boutique hotels and offer few amenities.

When deciding where you want to stay on your next trip, it's a good idea to consider the length of your stay, your entertainment or business plans and how important amenities are to you.
It helps to be prepared. Research what hotels, motels or resorts are in the area you plan to visit and compare what they have to offer. You may want to compromise luxury for price. If price is not important, proximity to fine dining and entertainment may be the deciding factor for you.
Finding the best unit of beverage refrigerator and commercial beverage cooler can be hard, but all worth it.

Dr. Mahathir, the ex Ministerpraesident of Langkawi is NOT
too happy with the current situation on the island.

What does he not like?

By Dr. Mahathir Mohamad on May 17 2010

1. I used to sail in the Mediterranean sea and visited the islands there. They were all very bare. There were a few trees growing in between bare rocks.

2. Coming back I appreciated our green islands more. And the greenest of them all (to me at least) is Langkawi.

3. But I am afraid it is getting less and less green now.

4. We like to blame the developers for cutting down the tree. And I think they should be blamed. But in Langkawi we see people, mostly locals I think, who quietly burn down the undergrowth and sometimes the trees as well, so they can plant bananas and other fruit trees. They do this on the hillsides normally.

5. As a result when it rains, muddy water which used to be trapped and the flow slowed by the bushes now come down in torrents.

6. If the hillsides continue to be cleared, there will be landslides soon.

7. A Langkawi that is not green won't be much of an attraction, I think.

8. My blog seems to have some effect. The straightening and widening of the north south highway, as well as the cutting of trees have now stopped. All praise be to Allah. Thank you JKR.

9. I had lunch on the rocks at Tanjung Sanctuary. This is an old hotel but the new owner has completely refurbished. No trees were cut and you pass through a real forest to reach the chalets and the restaurant.

10. I was there when the hotel was started almost 20 years ago. This was my second visit and the ambience is fantastic. Very restful.

11. O Langkawi - may it always be green. In my years as Prime Minister nothing gave me so much pleasure as developing Langkawi. It still gives me the same pleasure
