The Langkawi International Mountain Bike Challenge (LIMBC) 2014

Welcome to the Tradewinds Langkawi International Mountain Bike Challenge, or Tradewinds-LIMBC, Asia’s most promising and exciting mountain bike stage race (some say it’s the hottest too!). Langkawi, the beautiful ‘Island of Legends’ off the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia offers just about everything for the adventurous and those seeking major mountain biking fun in the sun.

Tradewinds-LIMBC attracts every level of rider – male and female – across all ages from 19- 60 year olds. The Tradewinds-LIMBC mixes the Top UCI MTB World Cup contenders and regular and ever enthusiastic International and local ‘Weekend Warrior’ traveling from the 4 corners of the globe and our nearby ASIAN neighbours, racing side by side across all categories,  looking for the best in race experience and adventure – Langkawi Welcomes YOU!!!!!

This year marks the fourth year that Tradewinds has been involved as a major sponsor for LIMBC. The company played an integral role as the platinum sponsor of LIMBC’s past three years editions. Total prize money of over half a million Ringgit Malaysia or USD150,000 is up for grabs for this event, making the LIMBC 2014 the biggest prize money purse in the world for any mountain bike event.

The race is now officially known as Tradewinds Langkawi International Mountain Bike Challenge 2014, or in short, Tradewinds-LIMBC 2014. TWI is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tradewinds Corporation Berhad.
